THE 3D VISION
The 3D Initiative is an Auckland based outreach programme created by Workforce Connect Ltd to assist NZ workers into sustainable employment.
Our target groups are:
- People at Risk
- People unemployed due to the Covid-19 pandemic
- Maori and Pacific
To achieve this we provide a 3-step pathway by partnering with different businesses and training providers around the region to help fill the thousands of jobs needed.
The 3D initiative allows Workforce Connect to work closely with employers to identify training needs and connect our candidates with the correct training providers to meet those needs. Post placement we also offer 13 months of 24/7 Coaching and Pastoral Care to help people transition and acclimate into a new working environment
Training & Up-skilling
We are focused on training and up-skilling NZ workers. We are partnered with multiple training providers to assist with developing individuals into NZ work ready candidates.
It is vital we work closely with employers to create opportunities for long-term employment and room to grow within. Placing a candidate in the correct environment will almost guarantee success.
Pastoral Care & Mentoring
We provide 24/7 access to a coach for 13 months from start of employment. It is critical to continue to work closely with the candidate and/or offer more training if required to succeed. But most importantly offering continuous support with their transition into a new work environment.
STAGE 1 - DEVELOPING
Developing a work ready candidate is a 3 week process, designed to help you prepare for employment.
Our team of coaches, mentors and training providers will help you identify your strengths. Within these 3 weeks dependent on your strength and chosen industry, our coaches and training providers will help you with training/certification in either Construction, Security, Warehousing & Logistics, Aged care or Hospitality.
- Creating a professional CV & cover letter.
- Assisting with your drivers license.
- Completing the correct pre-employment course requirements to be successful in your chosen industry and role.
- Pre-employment checks such as medical examinations, background checks.
STAGE 2 - DELIVERING
Delivering a work ready candidate.
Our team of coaches, training providers, recruiters and business development representatives will work closely with you to place you in the best available work environment. Placement will be based on your chosen industry, availability, personal health and safety, transportation and your residential location.
We will help you with:
- Creating a familiarity with the job application process.
- Interviewing skills.
- Creating a profile in our Workforce Connect online platform giving you direct access to our partners and employers.
- In house internship and apprenticeship opportunities.
STAGE 3 - DIRECTING
Directing a work ready candidate is a 13 month process, designed to help you transition into full time employment.
Your assigned coaches (in-house or third party) will work directly with you and your employer to offer the correct care to be successful in your role. During this duration, you will have 24/7 access to our coaches.
By the end of this 3 step pathway, our aim is for you to be confident, competent and successful in your chosen field and carry on these skills throughout your working career.
